Hey all....Just joined. Never had anything to say before but now I have a question. In the last few months my smoker has not been buring the wood or charcoal in the box. The wood just kinda looks like charcoal. Used to be that the contents of the box would just be ashes when finished. Wondering if not enough air inside. Is it possible that the bottom drain hole being plugged would account for this. Guess I will check it in the A.M. Any other suggestions? Seems to be cooking OK as usual.

Its' been awhile, had to chime in. On short smokes my wood also charrs only but I'm not worried because the meats have plenty of smoke on them. If wood not burning completely on long smokes, be sure to use dry wood and place the wood toward the front of wood box under the element. Also check to see if element is barely touching the bottom of wood box, if not slightly bend element to make it so.
