Has anyone tried to cut a slice off a raw brisket and grill It. I was thinking of trying that with a corned beef flat. I thought I would soak it for a while to get the salt out. Then slice into 1/4 inch or so slices, season and put on a hot grill kind of like a steak. Any comments? I never heard of doing it that way and there may be a good reason not to, but I thought i would ask...

I am perplexed. I have never tried it. Thinking it through, I just don't see how this is going to work. It's a muscle, and even though it's been corned it still is a muscle. I have to admit to stealing a bite of a corned beef brisket before it was actually done cooking/boiling, was pretty darn tough. I don't see how grilling it is going to help it get tender. Would love to hear how it comes out.
