I was just given a Hobart meat slicer, the problem is, is that it's an old one I'm guessing it was made around the 1930's, the model # is 11-C. I would like to know if there is anybody out there that can fix/sharpen the blade/knife, or is it possible that I can get a new one? The blade/knife is not in too bad of shape but when I put it in service, I don't want to be messing with it.

Thanks for any help

I bought a brand new Hobart N50 commercial 5 QT mixer. I called to ask about registering my mixer for warranty service and Hobart told me that they only warrant the mixer to commercial businesses. I could not register my N50 for warranty repair, even though I bought it from one of their licensed dealers, because I was a non-commercial user.

That's something to think about. The other thing to think about is that if you are a non-commercial user of a Hobart commercial item, it's unlikely you'll need warranty coverage anyway. Not for a long time.

I liked the N50 so much I ended up buying another one.

Now I'd love to have a Hobart meat slicer.
