Thanks guys. Pigskin--They didn't have any new ones in stock so they brought up the refurb possibility themselves. I'm not real sure what the normal availability of them is. It looked new to me and came in the box with all the goodies inside of it.

First smoke already underway. 13lb cryovac brisket. It's already rounding 180 and I'm going to do a true "set it and forget it" test by not touching it until done at 190.

Next up I believe will be a cherry wood smoked ham from my favorite butcher on Lewis.

We hear some posts about folks searching the web for the cheapest deals out there, but some of us have always said it is better to call CS and ask what they have. It's not like they don't speak English or are uneducated about their products. Yep, just like you found out, they are just a bunch of good folks that enjoy cooking and talking about their products.

Like most Okies you'll find the folks in PC are straight shooters and love smokin'.

I started life in Muskogee and seems like I spent another half of it at Ft.Sill.

Yep, folks outgrow their cookers and needs also change.

Cookshack will take in those that they can ,refurb and rewarranty them.
