Hi Everyone,

I just got my new SM025 and it's going through its initial seasoning smoking as I write this. I'm using apple wood, and the smell is just wonderful. Along with my new smoker, I got the cover, the fish/vegetable rack, and a sample pack of all the CS woods.

The fit and finish of the SM025 is generally excellent. My only complaint about it is getting the screws out to mount the temperature control unit on top. All the screws were difficult to remove, but 2 of them were next to impossible. After a lot of pulling, twisting, and turning, I finally got them all out without damaging anything. I had no trouble putting screws back in, thank goodness. Note to CS: You might want to rethink the temperature control unit mounting process.

Tomorrow I plan on smoking some pork ribs. I've been reading all the information here on the forum, as well as the 101's on the CS site. This is certainly going to be a delicious learning experience!!

If you had ate some products from a CS, them screws would not have been as much of a problem. By the way CS doesn't monitor this forum so if you want to complain, please call them, they are always interested in what customers think and only want a positive experience for their customers.Have Fun and watch out for putting to much wood in it only takes small amounts.
