I did a search and came up blank. My son is going hunting with me next week for the first time in many years, so I want to be ready just in case we get one. Probably will brine and then bard. My first javelina (1987) was BBQ'd at a a shop and was some some the best wild game I have ever had. Yah, I know you Texas boys don't think these are edible!

Anybody got suggestions?

Realizing these are not truly a wild pig,they still have some of the same characteristics-good and bad.

Go to FIND at page top,and search for wild pigs.

We have many threads over the years.

They will be "porky" with the leaness,etc of venison.

be sure to remove the musk glands the minute it hit the dirt, makes for much better meat
