If your old fire pot was cast iron with a slopped bottom then yes it should 
How long have you had your smoker? I thought they did away with the cast iron pot like 4 years ago??? I had 2 FEC 100's with them and had issues with both.

thank you Nord, I have installed it and so far so good about 6 cooks into the new pot. sp
Some cast iron pots had issues... some didn't... Mine luckily didn't, but it was my main Competition pit for a while and so I went ahead and swapped it out just to be safe.

I just had another pellet pile up in the SS pot. it always happens after about 12-13 hours and when I wrap.. I check it after a couple hours and no fire and a pile of pellets....#confused sp

Sounds like a draft fan problem.....
I checked the draft fan and it runs on low and switched to hi like it supposed to after you enter the cook temp...sp
also Saturdays cook went great cooking briskets at 250 degress

Have you ever taken the firepot out and cleaned the air duck around the firepot?

I'm having problems with my 2 older FEC 100's (2006 and a 2008)piling up pellets and the flame going out, but I've never had that issue with my 2014 FEC 120 which also has the IQ 4 controller. The Control boards in the 2 older units have been updated in the past but I didn't see any difference. So it's the sloped cast iron fire pots that typically have this problem more often?
How much are the SS fire pots?

Some of the older IQ4 models have lower airflow fans, which mine is, when the fans get age on them they drag a little. I had flame out problems a couple years ago. When I replaced it with a newer(higher air flow) draft fan the problems went away. It did cause the cooker to cook different though, seems to cook at lower grate temp....could be just me imagining that though.

I had my first pile up since October when I changed to the ss pot it was a big load and I think I may have blocked the 4 inch exhaust with a shoulder. probably time to clean the 100.. or maybe adjust the shelves ...sp
