If you haven't tried pecan halves in your cookshack you should. I have made several batches now and they are great. I use a flat pan with holes. It looks like it was made for pizza crust. Spread them out single layer and smoke for 2- 2 1/2 hours. I used pecan and hickory. Also try a little olive oil and your favorate rub. Mix well then smoke. Take some of the plain smoked, mix with melted butter and brown sugar. Coat well and bake in the oven unitl the sugar melts. You will like these I bet!
