Problem with model 008

Not sure what the official model # is . Anyway I've been waiting for it wear out so I could buy a new fancier one and it just keeps on smoking! It says March 13th of 99 on the back. I bought an extra element when I purchased it and that's never been out of the box.

Anyway kudos on making a great and long lasting product. Not much made nowadays that lasts as long as this has. Rob
