How ya doin. Just pulled the trigger and bought an Sm025. Been following the forum for a couple of weeks now and figured it was time to jump in. Now I can't wait. Not even sure what to smoke first. Already have a butcher shop and they have a lot to choose from. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me.

Welcome John. You will love your SM025. Many here will say to smoke a pork butt as your first smoke for two reasons. One pork butt is very forgiving and near impossible to ruin in a cookshack and two it helps to season the cooker. Don't forgit to line the bottom of the cooker and cover of the smoke box with HD alu foil as well as poke a hole in the bottom for the grease to drain into your catch pan. Give a read to Smokin's 101s for your first smokes and you won't go wrong. Jer

Welcome John! I cook on a 25 as well. As soon as you can cook a beef shoulder clod. I wish I would have known about them earlier then I did. By far my favorite thing to cook. Super easy prep with just your favorite seasonings.
