Bodacious BBQ:
When I do a search, I usually search "All Open Forums". When I did a search for Mustard Sauce I came up with 34 hits including:
Smokin'Okie's Virgin Mustard Sauce
(virgin for you first time mustard sauce people)

* 4 cups yellow mustard
* 1 cup lemon juice
* 1 cup honey
* 1/2 cup cider vinegar
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon cayenne

that's it, combine, boil, simmer, eat.
Enjoy and let me know how you like it.
Good Q'in

Hope this helps Wink

I thought that I did seach all open forums. Maybe I misspelled something or just didn'y use the right words, though that seems unlikely. But thanks for the help everybody.
Well the search function is VERY particular, but I can't change that. The biggest suggestions would be spelling and check the drop down for which forum you searched.

You can also search by my Member # -- 5. Or anyone elses' #, just look under their name, on the left in a post and you'll see their member number.

Smokin'
thinning out a "mustard" sauce so it doesn't taste like mustard.

Hmmmmm, something seems wrong in that Big Grin

Look for a weaker tasting mustard or add beer, but add a beer with flavor, not just some domestic pilsner.

With St Patricks around, add a little Guiness or other dark beer.
Thanks. I know it sounds funny, but it was just a little much. I'm always trying something new, and I was a little leary of it to start with. Since I saw all the good responses to it, I though I would give it a chance. Right now, I would probably say I'll be sticking with non-mustard sauces. Thanks for the recipe though!
One more thing I forgot about. How long are you supposed to "simmer"? I only did it for 5 minutes after it came to a boil. I started thinking afterwards that maybe a longer simmer would make the potent taste less. Since smoking mustard on the butt takes the taste away, I thought it was a worthwhile question. I may have missed the simmer time, but I don't recall seeing it.
