Recently, have experienced an issue with my Fast Eddy Cookshack FEC 500. It has been tripping the breaker. The unit allows me to make the desired setting but when I pressed the start button, it trips the breaker. It was suggested to disconnect the igniter. It still tripped the breaker. I then disconnected the main exhaust fan, and the unit worked fine. I thought I had discovered the issue but then I tested the fan independently, and the fan worked well. I also noticed, that when the fan was still disconnected, I pressed the rotation button, and again, the unit tripped the breaker. I disconnected the switch but it still tripped the breaker when the start button was pressed. Once it tripped before I had the chance to do anything. Has anyone experienced an issue like this?

If it has sat too long without use it may have accumulated moisture. That might be the culprit so drying out the interior would help. The best help will come from Cookshack technicians.
The best they can tell me is to start disconnecting items one by one. I think it could be some type of moisture or ground issue. I will contact Cookshack again. Thanks for reaching out.
You are welcome. Sometimes a hair dryer on all parts and connections helps. Hope you find the fault.
I tried the hair dryer technique and, now everything works. I am still not able to pinpoint exactly what was wrong but I am satisfied all is well. Thank you for the information.
Happy to have been of some help.

Can you tell more about the hair dryer technique? What is that
A hair dryer can be used to dry out the interior of a smoker and control board components. Moisture can accumulate over time and cause electrical problems.
