Peecan is pretty good..as the folks say is a younger kissing cousin to hickory. Whether the Weber variety is fit to use depends on whether it has any bark on it. The good flavor from most any kind of wood resides in the bark. Its pretty easy to get over smoked with the stuff in tight running air starved pits. Oak is more reliable in that situation. The very best flavor of Pee Can resides in the nut shells. I think hickory is the same way but aint never had any hickory nut shells to do any science on the theory. lol.
