Yep, found that out last winter, smoked some ribs and left it outside and plugged in. I usually bring it in after a couple of hours, but forgot. Snowed that night, in the morning was a couple inches of snow on the ground. We had a power glitch and when I looked outside a couple hours later noticed all the snow had melted around the smoker. It turned itself back on after the power glitch.
