My doc says that VERY FEW people are salt sensitive, and that blood pressure IS NOT adversely affected unless you are one of the VERY few.
Restricting salt is otherwise unnecessary.
Also, salt applied at the table is miniscule as compared to that in processed food.
Have you been tested for salt sensitivity?
Probably not.
Most doctors are too lazy to check since it is not their problem trying to stomach low sodium food.
