Well, as it turns out I also had a Masterbuilt electric smoker years ago, before I got my Amerique. So considering those two, although the systems are different (soaked chips vs dry chunks, ability with the Masterbuilt to add wood without opening), I think the amount of smoke flavor available with each is comparable.
