I doubt if anyone has done a real life check (scientific acclumulation of data) but, most of us would agree that if there is an effect it would not be worth noting. The insulation on these critters is great and ventelation is really minimal, ie. the small hole in the bottom and top of the cooker and the minimal loss of heat around the door. Those who live in very cold temps use them outdoors in the winter with no apparent time issues. I've used my 008 and Amerique in 100Âº temps here in N.Calif and haven't noticed any issues regarding time.
