About 20 years ago, I used to get ribs from this place in Gt. Barrington MA. Called "Hickory Bill's BBQ (thats right...Massachussets!!!) They were so good. He was an old southern gentleman who had been doing it for many years. Awsome collards and corn bread, and the ribs were fall apart good. He moved away, and I have been looking locally to find the same with no avail. I hope I can come close to what I remember as the best ribs ever. Here's to you Hickory Bill!

Good story SK.

I'm with Mike. With a little practice I'm positive you'll like what you do better.

Memories are great. I ask people about old OKC BBQ Restaurants and they give me great stories, but they can't really describe the tastes of the food or the sauces, just a general "they were the best ever" kind of comments.

Work on your own and we'll help along the way if we can. Then your friends will tell the stories on you.
Thanks for all the encouragement. I over researched smokers and nothing bad was said about any of the cs or fe cookers. So i settled on the best I could afford. This forum is great and I hope to use it often. Seems like a real "band of brothers" (sisters too!). If I get too good, ill have to upgrade to a bigger unit! Haha. For now just my wife and I with a very few scraps for the dog & cat. Later.
