I'm a newbie - looking forward to some great food on my Smokette that was just purchased. Am I right that somewhere on the site there is a series of "101" cooking tips? If so, where do I find that?

Here you go. You can locate on the opening page you look under Smokin'Okie 101's.
Congrats on the new smoker. I would also suggest looking at the top of the lists on different forums for some good reading and lessons for newbies.
You can use find button in top left corner to search the forums for yourself. Most of us are more than happy to help a Newbie, cause we've been there and done it.
