3 year old Amerique controls acting up

I've use this pretty regularly for three years. Had the probe go out once, but other than that it's been great. Just before moving from California to Colorado, it was acting up. The control would just shut off. Plugged in to the same place I've always used. The controls would go on and off, and sometimes not come on at all, just the backlight. Finally after fiddling with it, it came on long enough to do some ribs, and I thought maybe all was ok.

First smoke here in Colorado, not cold weather (yet) and it's acting the same way turning off randomly while trying to do a brisket. I'll call again tomorrow, but I'm really hoping it's not in need of a new controller already.

Hopefully it is not the board but maybe just a loose electrical connection or the cord has a break. I would check the power cord for continuity with a meter. You will have to open the back to do this. If the cord is good, then it could be the board.The folks at CS should be able to help. And good luck.
