Noticed someting interesting today. Cooked 2 butts today on the 2nd rack from the top, butts were front to back on the rack. One was 8 degrees cooler all during the cook. Usually they equal out for me in the end, but not this time. Noticed I had the angled drip pan basically touching the back wall, providing a larger space in the front. Did a temp check at the grate and it was 10 degrees cooler. Moved the drip pan to the front and the temp became higher in the back.

Wouldn't have thought this would make a difference, but it did. I will make sure in the future there is equal spacing in the rear and front of this pan.

Eddy or anybody else have any thoughts on this?
