Are you talking while it's running or between smokes?

I know a lot of people just buy a vent cap of the same size. Problem would be you'd have to order one online, not many stores carry. I found mine a HD years ago.

There are a couple of ideas here about them.

Someone will speak up with some help.
I found a small bucket, the kind some people use for candles, it just fits inside the exhaust port, then when I am cooking, I lean a piece of plywood up against the one end of the bucket while the other end is against the smoker. The angle of lean puts enough wieght on the bucket to keep it in place,and the plywood keeps the wind from blowing into the smoker. A piece of metal would be safer, for a non combustible
