Chuck Roast smoked with corn cobs

Burnt corn/or cobs couldn't be all that bad. After all, us southern boys used to burn corn, grind it and use if as coffee. Might be something there. Just make sure you get 'corn fed' beef to be 'corn smoked' so you don't wind up with a strange case of culinary cross-ingesta-fuma-fucation.

Yep,across the South feed corn could be stored much of the year ,so cobs were available.
Tends to be very mild.

When we lived in Indiana, we used to put corn out for the squirrels. When the cobs were replaced the clean cobs went into a potato sack to be used later in the smoke house for hams.
Just too lazy to shuck them ourselves I guess.
