I clean them inside the smoke like you mentioned. As needed (maybe every 3 to 5 months) I soak them in a cement mixing bin (bought that to hold just the racks, no cement) and I put a little simple green in, let it soak overnight.

The gunk comes off (just watch it at the car wash, not sayin', but if you don't angle them right, all the gunk comes right back at 'ya)
I spray them with Greased Lightning and put them in big garbage bags. Take the next day to the car wash and spray them off. Like they were brand new. You can also just spray and put them in the garbage bag and rinse off with a garden hose. But if you want them spotless, do both..

Exactly how I started using it Tom. Then Home Depot had some gallons on clearance for under $5... I am sold... Now if I could only land them as a sponsor. Too bad they have used all of that cash up... Big Grin
