I have a propane (Bottle) barbecue. My house runs off propane gas from a backyard tank which has a regulator on it to control the pressure into the house. Can I attach my barbecue burners directly to the house supply (stubbed out on the patio) without going through the regulator attached to the barbecue? Or must I also use the regulator that is in the barbecue as well?

This is a guess, but I would say yes. The feed from the tank to the house is a high pressure line. The distance and piping size between the regulator and barbecue will determine the LP pressure...I think it's referred to as "watermark"

Call your propane dealer. They should be able to give you the watermark info. Next check with the barbecue manufacturer, or documentation.

I would highly recommend you simply call the propane company and have them install the gas line. "Guessing" with propane is risky business.
I'm not shure if this is what you are talking about or not.But here is the way it is at my house.I have a underground Propane tank with a hose stubbed up on my deck and because I have a regulator built on the tank all I had to do with my gas grill was screw the hose right into the grill no other regulator needed.Know if you are using a burner that uses the regulator to control the flame then you will need to have it.I hope that miight have helped.
