Hi Everyone..I have some friends coming over tonight for supper. They have wanted to try my BBQ and they want chicken. I usually cook chicken parts. Today I want to present 3 birds. Total weight 10.5lbs. Should I cut them in half then cook or can I leave them whole as I really want to do.If leave them whole which is what I am going to do. What temp should I use and how much time.and what level should I be on. As some of you know I have an FEC100.Rob

Cook them whole.

Put on shelf 2 or 3

Start with legs/thigh down. Some like to flip the breast down about 1/2 way through the cook.

Put the legs toward the back (more heat)

325 to 350 they'll be done in around an hour and half, but start sooner just to be safe if you're worried about timing.

I brine mine and they finish a little faster than at at my temps.
