Cookshack - Made In America, by high quality craftsman - cost a little more. Excellent forum and customer service.

SmokinTex - Made In China, by ??? quality craftsman - costs a little less. Personally can't comment on a forum for them or customer service.

Like Momma always said "you get what you pay for". I'm a Cookshack owner.

Just my .02
I have a st 1500 and it works great! I do agree that it is not going to be easy to find a better forum. As far as customer service on my st I havent had to deal with them at all. The arrival date was on time and things went well! I will say the ameri-q looks sweet! It depends on what you want to spend and what size you want. Im sure both units will make you happy wichever way you go! Good luck on your decision and look forward to hearing from you on this great site. Smiler
Howdy BBQnut,
Go for the best. You get what you pay for. It's an incredible smoker plus you have an unconditional 30 day trial period. The smoker to buy is the AmeriQue. As soon as momma releases funding I am going to hop on one SM066 model(AmeriQue). I own a smaller CS version and will soon be purchasing the new AmeriQue. All the units are excellent. Good luck to ya!

Hi bbqnut
I have a cs50, and a st1500c.From experience I would go with the cs50 hands down. I have experience with customer support from the st people. In my experience, once they get your money they don't know you.The cs people will bend over backwards to solve any problems you might have.
Plus you have this great forum to rely on
