I would like to get some feedback on the pellet grill designed by Fast Eddy. I would be using it for backyard use as well as some competitions. Competition use would be for chicken and maybe ribs. I currently have a FEC100 and thought this unit would be a good addition. I am looking for pro's and con's as well as quality of workmanship on this cooker

Thanks

Smokin,

We had this conversation few months back and at that time you where already having some rust issues around the fastners. I spoke with a few others that had some of the same issues. As a result I found it difficult to lay down the 2-grand for this grill. I guess my question is how in the mechanical opperation of the grill itself since you have had it for a while? I should probally not sweat the small stuff "a little rust". Thank you for your imput on this issue as well an the information you give out to everyone on this forum.

I too don't like the rusty bolts, but that's easy to fix (just don't like it)

The mechanical side has been flawless. Works great and with the insulation, holds the temp well.

I'll be experimenting with the new CS 100% hickory pellets once I get some.

Another thing I didn't like was the powder coat. They have had serious issues with that and I believe are going to all stainless, no black models since Danson's has powder coat issues.

I think I am going to look at the stainless model, that would fix the issues that I have concerns about. I have one last question could you give me the cooking surface dimensions. I emailed the the Fast eddys site for this information on this and they said they would get back with me. That was two weeks ago. I sure wish cook shack was producing this unit. Thank you again for your information.

I saw on Pelletheads where they announced the CS would indeed start manufacturing these in the US. I know you're next question. When?

No update. As soon as I hear, I'll let you know.

They will only be in Stainless.
