FEC 500 convection fan

At what point is that fan supposed to turn on? I'm thinking mine is dead. Is there a fuse inline to check?

Meanwhile, the pit is loaded for a job. I was very worried. Now that I'm done I have noticed one thing. A huge smoke roll. Smoke hangs longer in the pit. Product never looked better. So what's the purpose of that fan? I think I will fix it and put an inline switch to see the diff
