I installed an FEC100 in my new vending trailer and i noticed a small problem last night. I have the smoker inside the trailer and the exhaust hard piped thru the roof. The smoker sits in a separate compartment from the kitchen. The kitchen has a vent hood.....when i turned on the vent hood, it created enough draw to pull smoke out of the bottom of the smoker and thru the grease drain. Note, i installed two 14" square roof vents just in front of the hood for make-up air. The smoker compartment has a door between it and the kitchen, which when closed doesn't pull smoke out......i just hate to thing i will need that door closed all of the time while the smoker is running.
My guess is that there is nothing i can do about this condition....but i figured just maybe somebody else has run into the same situation and found a clever cure for it.
