My smoker has been shutting off.. And I have to unsrew the cover and hit the reset button.. Whats causing this

It could be that.
What temp are you setting it for and what temp is it shutting down at? A quick ramp up to 400 has caused me the same problem. Bill (Cookshack tech support) suggested an initial temp of 300...followed by an increase to 400.

I will.... It has tripped at 230
That pretty much would confirm the hi/lo.
Hope they have one in stock as I have a competition next weekend
Called Tony today he was very helpful, moved my racks to a the lower setting got ready to fire it up and my igniter's out LOL
Easy fix.
Combine a handful of pellets with some hand sanitizing gel. Place in the firepot, ignite with a torch lighter wand. When they fully ignite, turn on the FEC.
