i can honestly say that the FEC500 does everything i want and need out of a smoker. it is easy to clean, maintain, load, unload....and it is so dependable, and takes a beating pretty well [deer]. i bet the FEC750 will work just as well! it just cooks more LBS. also it will use more pellets. good luck!

I think most of the people that own a 750 are too busy catering or running a restaurant to post. Same units, just like jeff says, more capacity.

Key is how much do you need to cook. The units are both great.

Anything specific you want to know?
Did a charity event on a 750. Have 800+ pds of briskets in there.

The reliability wouldn't matter, 500 or 750. I'll leave it up to owners to describe their actual experience.

I think you can see by the various posts that CS Customer Service is exceptional, so they stand behind everything.

Maybe give them a call and talk to them about reliability?

The smoke flavor is as good as it gets, as I explained there are three burner pots and put lots of smoke out there. Never heard anyone complain about smoke except on the 100/300 (and that's because they only have the one pot) but theere are methods for those units. A 750 has three so you're golden there.

Maybe CS can even tell you where one is nearby and point you to them.
