Finally got my new FEC 100

After a lot of dreaming and saving my pennies, my new toy has arrived. This thing is cool. There are a couple of issues caused by the shipper.

The door is warped and lets smoke out the bottom. Talked with Bill today and they are sending me a new door. I'm impressed with their customer service.

Have some BB cooking as I type. Thought I would start small. Brisket is planned for Sunday.
I'm so happy

I just got mine too! I haven't cooked anything yet but I'm going to the zoo tomorrow with my 8yr old's class and I'm going to stop by Sam's on the way back home. Couple butts and some ribs Saturday! I am pretty sure we will both love smoking with these things!!

Look at you two grown men acting like kids at Xmas time. That's what a CS will do to you.

Congrats on the new toys.Just try to keep it a secret or the neighbors will be over to get a extra meal.

Congrats, just don't any attention to temps as they will jump around as it seasons in. I have about a dozen cooks under my belt with mine now and it's dead on.

Besides the awesome Q it turns out, you're really going to love the ability to set it and forget it. Before I got my FEC100 I wasn't smoking much anymore due to family commits and a busy life, but that's all changed now and I love not being chained to my smoker!
