I can help you with this also since I am a part of Craig's team. We picked up a deep cycle marine battery from Sam's. The Inverter I picked up Lowe's. Here is a link to it on Lowe's site:

You will also need a battery charger of course to recharge it after you use it. I was told by a generator client of mine to use a combination regular battery charger that also has a float cycle in it. This allows the battery to be fully charged and then auotmatically switched over to a float mode where it maintains the charge until you disconnect the charger.
BTW, it has been talked on here before that you do not want to go over a 400 watt inverter. The FEC does not seem to work well with higher wattage models. We used our setup at the Tryon NC cookoff and it worked beautifully. We ran one of the cookers for almost 20 hours with no problems. Not that the electric was a problem at Tryon, but why take any chances.
