Fix for black drips?

Does anyone have a fix other than periodic cleaning/wiping for the dripping? Seems like I saw a creative fix but I can't locate it now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't recommend the modification of the smoker that someone made. Before I'd recommend a change that modified the air flow, even a little, I'd check with CS.

Just wipe it down. Seems to only happen during the winter months when the condensation builds up.

I seem to remember some years ago some one made a small chimney from a tin can and placed around the vent.
I prefer to place a small portion of tin foil on the top rack below the vent hole.
