A friend of mine got his FEC100 a little over a month ago. Several flameouts. Not sure what has changed since I got mine. I've never had a flameout. And no..... it's not the wind, barometric pressure, humidity, position of the moon or zodiac signs as he has been asked. I feel bad standing on my soapbox till he got one. Not near as bad as he feels.
Had my first flameout at a comp on June 11, no explanation at all except I think there may have been a sawdust in auger but not hardened yet from the inside I couldnt see the auger turning nor was it filling the pot.
I unplugged til display dissappeared, emptied the hopper restarted and insured that the auger was turning then filled the hopper and it ran the last 4 hours of the cook fine.

Glad I had a stoker attached.......

By the way the weather and wind was perfect, Cookshack/Candy mix and my temps were swinging 50 degrees all night.......

Cooker was loaded for comp and Peoples choice butts as well.
