I freeze a lot of pints and quarts of pulled meat. I add about 4oz of sauce to each container and it freezes great. There is not a noticable difference in flavor after a 90 day freeze. I freeze whole butts as well. Just wrap cooled butt in plastic wrap, then foil, and in my case I also place into a 2gal plastic bag with a label for reheating instructions and a pint of sauce. Again, perfect after 90 days.
