Smoked my first pork butt last weekend. And WOW! It was some of the best pork I have ever had! I shared it with my neighbors and family and they just couldn't get over it.

But now its raining here in Seattle and looks like it will be another week before I can smoke again.

There are all kinds of creative solutions to cooking in the rain.

As long as the rain isn't blowing completely sideways,you keep the thermostat protected,and the plug is dry you can cook.

Probably if you search,there are threads with all kinds of pictures and solutions.

Plans?- I don't us no stinking plans!!

I kinda sat down and did a little drawing and started cutting.

I can get my tape measure out and try to put something together, next time I am near my 'baby', but since it is in the Adirondacks, I won't get there until the T-giving weekend.

Hopefully I'll have something great to say about my first turkey smoke, too. Jeff
