hi guys

i was reading all said about smoken butts.to make bacon. i am new at smoken pork. i have some questions that were not cover.the skin out side the butt ( crackling ) do you leave it on and smoke the butt. remove from smoke ,cool and cut off. or do i leave it on and fry,eat, ect. or do you cut off befor you even apply the cure and spice. i know some store buoght bacon comes with it still on. do i score it, and rub cure into it.
