Over the last 15 years and 3 smokers I've had occasion to call Cook shack technical support 5 or 6 times only to find out my problem was oporater error.
Yesterday I put 130 lbs. of butts in my SM260, set the cook temperature and temperature probe, started it up and walked away. When I checked back in an hour the 260 was dead and I was in a panic.
I called technical support first thing this morning and in less than 5 minutes he determined that I had had a power surge which took out a little control transformer and got one coming my way.
