It's been raining all evening,we just loaded the FE up with butts and shoulders. We are serving pulled pork and ribs for a Chamber of Commerce function in town tommorrow. It's supposed to rain all night.

I got back into the house and said I was sure happy I didn't have to fire up my old Kingfisher [stick-burner] and have to tend it for the next 16 hours.

Thanks Eddy!

Hey Roger,

Craig just brought me some of your bacon and sauage. Really good stuff. I've saved the bacon grease for later use.

FE's cleaned out and ready for some work this weekend, we're practicing for Winchester, TN the next weekend.

I'm hoping to swing up your way in June, but we're tenatively booked for a couple of graduation parties.

Craig is no longer a brisket virgin. He did it on the Lang and sat up all night, tending the fire and drinking after UND lost the final in the Frozen Four. He'll really appreciate it on the FE now that he's done the stick burner thing. I'll send a picture of him in his Sioux jersey holding the brisket (we couldn't find any gophers to 'Q).....
It rained pitchforks and hammerhandles all that night. Ended up with 2 1/2 inches. The sump pump worked overtime.

The Chamber event was like a Whos-Whos in Mankato. We were one of 50-60 businesses that had a booth. I had a nice talk with our college president, and others who stopped by.

We pulled our rig down, parked it outside the civic arena, ran it on the smoke cycle to hold the pork and puff out smoke. Pulled pork, fresh as needed.

We went through 30# pork that we pulled and several racks of ribs. Actually, the pork fell apart. Sent samples out in paper boats with our Blackberry Blaze.

We had a good spot. Our booth was right next to the beer/drinks vendor. Lots of people just milled around the area.

DocT- I saw Smokinmans brisket. He told me to be watching for a drunk falling down at the Frozen Four. UND looked happy making road-kill of the Gophers. Denver's tough. Hockey is a fun sport. Minnesota State-Mankato next year!

Glad you liked the pork.

Roger
