I was curious about the The Cookshack Model 50 (SM050)

I can imagine that it gets up to the optimum operating temperature faster. Which probably means that opening the door during cooking isn't as big a deal.

I have the Model 50. I do not open the door often to peek if at all and I seem to be getting quite a bit faster cook times for brisket and butts that some members are posting for the 008/009.

I don't think you'll have to do much adjustment.

No, don't think you will. It just handles the fluctuations better when you open the door and handles more meat, but I don't think you'll have to adjust.

I have been having such good success with me ST that I am ready to take the plunge and go bigger. Thanks for the responses.
