Currently have an 008 model which I use outdoors. For those of you who use the pellet smokers indoors (commissary kitchen, etc), how do you get rid of the smoke, if any, that is emitted from this smoker?
Are you wanting to vent the 008? I'd just into the Open Forum and ask. You can use a regular vent hood above the 008 and it will have enough flow if you place it above the 008. For the FE's you need a large vent plus the exhaust on the FE can be connected to tubing and vented, something you can't do on an 008. Just don't block the vent hole at all. There are several threads in the archives that talk about venting. Do a search in the "owners archive" for vent and see what comes up.
brian ask john shifflet at cookshack. i think that maybe you can rig up the hood from an sm150 to the fec100. i wanted to but they only saved me enough money to add the smoke hood to my sm150 . but i do remember john saying to contact him as he had a solution. and john if you are reading this as soon as i get the funds trust me brother i am calling you jack 2 Greyhounds....SMOKIN!!!!
