There has been a lot of recent traffic on new fec500s. With the old montra: get bigger than you think you need...
For those getting 500s, why didn't you make the leap to the 750? Fuel consumption is similar with a lot more cooking space... so did it boil down to how much room you had for another pit? price? what?

Hope your getting closer. I wanted to do comps and still be able to stuff locally for scouts and school and church groups. Also down the road doing catering. I wanted something larger than the 100. I wanted to be able to several racks of ribs and several butts and several briskets all at the same time. And the 500 gave the all the room I was looking for. And I already had another rottis unit and I liked the fact there no hot spots in the unit.

I'm still going to get a 100 to go with the 500 for comps and smaller jobs.
Just as soon as I sell a race car.

Need a hobby???
