Does anyone know of a sauce recipe that is similar to either Cookshacks Spicy or Stubbs original?

I need to produce quantity and it may be that I'm better off time wise just using CS's sauce mix, but I thought I'd look to see if there was a recipe out there for a clone of these sauces first.

If you want to reference a cookbook, it's likely I have it so you don't need to post the recipe unless you just want to. Thanks.

Talk to Stuart at Cookshack.

They can arrange private labeling around the world for their restaurant/cater/vendor clients.

They ship pallets of gallons, for less than you can make it.

When we've been thru the sauce plant,we were amazed at the big national/comp names that had labels being affixed.

I'm not meaning to be negative about any product,i.e Stubb's,but you would be amazed how many consistent comp winners rely on CS MILD,in one label,or another. Wink

I have personally never heard of a comp team using Stubb's sauce, although the supermarkets sell a lot of it.

Remember, space shelf at a Target, can cost $100,000 from the sauce company, to be displayed-whether it is great ,or not.

Just a thought.

Hope this helps a little.
Thank you Tom. That volume pricing is what I was coming to realize. Plastic bottles are not cheap. A sauce jug similar to CS's with cap runs about $1.70 each in case lots, then figuring in $1 per gallon for CS's sauce mix, then the other ingredients, I'd need to sell it for $15+ per gallon to make it worth while to produce myself.

I'll get up with Stuart in the next week or so once I get a grip on the amount I'll need. Thanks again.
