I've seen people say they run at 140 to start out. I just got my FEC100 used but new to me. I set it at 140 to hold some meat and it won't glo below 174. Called Cook Shack and they said it won't go that low it would starve it self out. Any get theres to hold around the 140 range.

I did my first butts last night. I will post some pics later. I started it about 45 minutes before cook. Set at 180 and put on at 8pm. At midnigt it kicked up to 210 till 6 this morning. I pulled wrapped and back on at 250. They were pulled at 9:45 and 10:20 and now resting.Smeeelllls so good.
