New FE/PG 1000 initial seasoning Video edited

The grill was delivered today. So got everything together and did the initial seasoning. I powered it from a 500w inverter connected to the trailer batteries, just to see if I could. LHT=10, HHT=100 (factory settings)At these settings the temp on the dome thermo would range from about 390 to 460.

Congrats!

Make sure you call it an FEPC 1000 in future videos as I'm sure you'll be posting more. That's great with putting the videos up.

If you put a Video in a link, add that to the title, helps people find them, such as VIDEO --- title

Yea, I know. I wasn't smart enough to over rule the computer to make the video finish my comment.

I called it a FEPG since that is Cookshack's designation thinking it would help distinquish between it and the Danson version.

DOH! I was too excited to be paying attention.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
And yes, I did a video showing time to max temp, I just need to get it loaded on Youtube, unless you have a better way to do it. I don't have the fastest internet connection.

I used 5 and 75 the other night. worked OK. It was zero. Did take a while to cool down to a stable operating temperature

Do you all "pre heat" before cooking slow?

I'm coming from a SMO20 so I usually just throw in the meat and turn it on. So do you think the temps would stabilize faster if I "pre-heated?"

FYI 15/45 working well right now...
