new model feature questions

Was all set to buy the Amerique, and called to place order only to find they were all out and waiting for parts. While waiting for it to come in, Cookshack announced the new models. I really like the new Elite series as I was only going Amerique to get the temperature probe. I have been reading online and am confused about one thing:
On the Amerique it will automatically enter a hold mode once your meat has reached your selected internal temperature. I find no mention of a hold mode on either the Smokette Elite or Supersmoker Elite. Does anyone know if they use the same controller that the Amerique uses or is this a more simple type of temp control??

I'd suggest you call sales and ask them.

They are extremely helpful,but do not monitor these forums.

These are very new so,you know as much about these as we do.

I had the same question as I was debating on the Essential or the Elite. The answer I got was the Elite meat probe only provides a meat temperature reading. The Elite meat probe doesn't put the unit into a hold mode at a given temp.

I had called in but Karen is away at some show. I was told the same thing that it only monitors temperature and does not enter hold mode. I wanted to make sure, because that makes no sense! Why would they carry two different control units in inventory...and having a built in thermometer is only useful if it also enters a hold mode, or at the very least shuts off the heat once an internal temperature is met. Otherwise i would just buy a wireless thermometer. I was hoping someone actually had a unit on hand and could confirm that information.

The controller on the Elite model of the new smokers only monitors the internal temperature of the product and displays it. The cost of the components made it cost prohibitive to do a cook and hold controller on all the units. If you want cook and hold then we recommend the AmeriQue.

I received my SM025 yesterday and am currently seasoning it right now. The control unit shows smoker temperature and meat probe temperature only. There is no hold mode on this model.
