Sound's like K.C. is getting a NEW Q contest for memorial week-end. Sound's like it should be pretty big, talking about 350 teams, out at the Woodland's race track in the parking lot.

The group that put on the Royal for assorted charities is apparently moving to a different venue.
Well I think it's great !! Now I'll have the best of both right in my back yard ..

That was discussed a lot in BBQ Search and since a lot of people here don't compete in the Royal or other contests, there isn't a huge amount of discussion about contests. You might jump into the FE contest discussion forum for a little more information.
