Is it possible to cook a 120 - 140 lb pig on either an FEC 500 or 750? If not, are there any plans with the new models being considered to make a pellet-fired hog cooker? (probably 2-3 firepots, no rotisserie)

Terry Black has cooked those size of Hogs on his 750. He just levels the rotisserie shelves at the bottom and has a pan rack he sets across them he does the hog on. If we know this when were making the unit we can but some brakets on the interior wall to put a couple of sq tubes across front to back so you can set the shelves on it to cook stationary.
That is good to know Eddy. Could you do that in a 500 also. Just probably not the same size hog.

perhaps the dumbest question I could ask... how does he get the hog into the bottom of the cooker?
You'd have to have it on a big rack or tray.
And a strong back. That would be a tough lift even with two people.
